Climate change-To give God a Hand

To give God a hand

Written by Greta

Take a moment and imagine that you are God-but not mentally.-You still have the same interests, beliefs, and personality. Chances are, you wouldn’t actually take all the same actions our real God actually does, particularly forgiving and blessing people like your enemies and people destroying the planet you made; Planet Earth. That’s where we have to be careful. We-everyone of us-Nearly every little one of our actions is slowly but surely hurting and destroying God’s Beautiful creation of Planet Earth. And what does God do about it? He forgives us. Blesses us with out a moment’s hesitation. We are taking God’s actions for granted. Once in a while just… stop. take a deep breath. and…count your blessings. But there is still time. Even though it would be a tiny contribution to everything God does, it’s possible; to give God a hand. We have only a little over a decade to act. A little over a decade to save the future lives of our children and grandchildren. A little over a decade to save Planet Earth. A little over a decade to count out blessings. A little over a decade to give God a hand.

You’ve heard of climate change. You’ve heard of the hurricanes, the wildfires, the floods. You’ve heard all about the animals now facing extinction, the trees being chopped, and the ecosystems collapsing. And you know, in the back of your head, what the main cause of all of this is. Because you’ve heard of climate change. And if you haven’t its time that you did. Those that did hear, of it, decided their next best move was to pick up the TV remote and change the channel. Now, I’m guessing that you are surprised that anyone would do that. But take a moment to think about it: what are you going to do after reading this article? Maybe your plan is to take a walk, feed the dog, or-maybe you were going to look at another website-or in other words, change the channel. Make it your goal to do 1 thing everyday to combat climate change. Start small, like making sure to turn off the light every time you leave a room. And then go even bigger than that. Go by your own pace, whatever that is.

Just try to do more than change the channel.

Because we need people not to just hear about climate change, but to listen to it.
